Both Waterloo Records and Cheapo Discs have in-store performances during the festival. In addition, there are a plethora of non-official performances that take place during the daytime. For example (not that you are from Australia), but last year there was an "Aussie Picnic" one day that had a lot of Aussie bands playing. I think there was also an event for UK bands. Record labels hold similar events (I always attend the New West event). Not sure how you latch on to these opportunities. I’ll be there.
